About Me:
Hello! I am Shawn Canney, and I am an Instructional Technology and Innovation Coach. I have over 25 years of teaching experience and have been an edtech coach for almost 10 years now. I’ve presented at conferences such as the AP Annual Conference, ISTE, GaETC, and many others. I’ve also written several articles and have been published by Edutopia. In addition to presenting to teachers and schools in my system, I have worked with many other schools (public and private) about edtech, project-based learning, and creativity.
Areas of Interest and Focus
During my 25 years in education, I have worked with and presented a wide variety of edtech tools. I am an Apple Distinguished Educator, and an Adobe Creative Educator Innovator. I am currently a Gemini Certified Educator and have been a Google Certified Educator (Level 2). I work with a wide variety of AI tools and closely monitor best practices and uses for artificial intelligence in the classroom.
